you managed to pull that one out!
Doesn't look like the same person. Shes's gonna kick your a$$. Lol.
Standing at the ready - Anxiously awaiting part 2. Like the movie- "show me the money." I see the grisaille now bring on the color and the blending there of. Art reflects life. In life it is important to know one's (and others) gifts and play to them. Don't try to make yourself or someone something they are not. Or in carpentry, know your tools and use the right tool for the job. For me, acrylics will be great for block in. I want to explore acrylic under painting and oil detail and finish. But show me the way, I ignorantly am trying to make them do something they do not seem to want to do-blend, gradation, glaze.
Nice painting

The nose kind of bugs me...not quite right, but then again maybe you'll fix it...
i felt asleeo an woke up with this 8/10 was realy chill but i hadnt dreams abt that
same
this was sooooo fucking fun thank you ❤❤
Interesting
This is an absolutely stunning recreation. You really captured the essence and mystery of the woman in the painting. May I ask how long it took you to do this recreation? Thank you for your work, I have just subscribed.
you are amazing, but the portrait looks more caucasian than de model
I noticed the order of colors on your extended palette doesn’t seem to completely follow the color wheel, can you explain why? I’ve been setting up my palette based on the CIECAM hue angles, but I’m wondering if I’m doing it wrong. For example, you put burnt sienna before alizarin crimson, but burnt sienna is actually a low chroma orange- how come you didn’t put it between your warm reds and warm yellows? Similarly, shouldn’t pthalo turquoise come before cobalt blue, since it has more green bias? If you were to include burnt umber in this palette, where would you recommend placing it? I’ve been putting it between yellow ochre and burnt sienna, but I notice most people don’t do this. Thanks for the informative video, I appreciate the in-depth explanations!
Love watching this! Always learning :) always wanted to do portraits but where to start? Your videos, I feel will help me on my way! Really enjoyed watching along
Thank you. I usually paint portraits in oil. I too decided to explore and challenged myself to doing a triptik of the same portrait- three versions with 3 different backgrounds. Shooting for a Warhol like painting. I have struggled with each of the issues you have mentioned. Paint drying before I could even make my palette strings. Paint trying on the brush becoming bubble gum. Frustration open frustration and alone with no one to ask. As I researched for solutions- which led me to this- also showed me there is a reason that there are not too many portraits in acrylics and those that are have a certain look to them. So much of art is actually science and there is information to be learned with this “tool” and it will have its place. my next challenge will be to do a portrait with am acrylic under painting and an oil second stage.
@RensoArt has some excellent full length acrylic portrait videos on his channel, he does mostly oils on this channel but if you go to playlists you'll find some of his acrylic tutorials and he introduced me to a way of blending with no medium by keeping two brushes in hand, one just wet, to quickly adjust values. He has an acrylic channel as well but it's all timelapse videos. And you'll get more out of the later videos as he has his methods with acrylics figured out more.
@@tmerk4292 thank you. I will check the link you mentioned. I am getting tired of trying to make the paint do something it does not seem to do. I keep thinking it is something I am doing wrong. I think I am a caveman trying to cut wood with a hammer.
could you please share how you are able to set up pallet vertically next to canvas ?
Could you talk about Neo Melip? I know that it prolongs drying time, but how does it fit into the fat over lean rule?
Excellent leçon for beginners like me😊 Thanks 🙏🙏
You are the Best BeBest love it
Either you squeeze in front of the camera to paint or we look on at an angle and it is maddening!
U can easely use biger brush 4 such big canvas like u use🎉
Very hepful 2me.🎉
im painting my daughter, gift for her high school graduation

Thanks for this. Looking forward to trying it out.
Awesome!
Excellent thanks a lot 👍
I made it thank you for you’re lesions.
I don't know how people manage resources on thier palette I'm always running out of a certain skin tone and then I can't exactly match.
How much is the regular price
Has anyone had a problem with W&N Artisan melting on the canvas, like fresh tar, years after drying?
This was very useful for me. Thank you.
Very helpful video . Getting the proportions right has been a problem and you have enlightened me alot. Also I like it that you treat it as a practice and not a masterpiece for the Louvre.🙂
Nessie! 🦕
Don't use water to paint with. Water is for cleaning only. There is a water mixable thinner and mediums to paint with.
If you want to submit a painting for a competition-do the water based paintings count as oils?
❤
I like the color , but she does only look alike .It is not the person from the photo
Very beautiful. Thank you very much for the video.
I loved this, could watch again & again. Thanks inspired
Could you please in depth about the use of Neo Megilp, when to use it, how to use it? Thank you!
I couldn't figure out why my whites (highlights on the flesh) seemed to absorb into the other colors on my canvas and almost disappear. Then I discovered that Zinc White is more transparent than Titanium white. Now I know.
i have no idea how i did it , but its really worked and its look nice
Unless doing a commission, I disagree with painting a portrait of someone with make up covering over how they really look. Consequently, this takes away the individuality of the person’s looks, and once they have a certain bone structure we’ve decided is best, women have this tendency to look too similar, the mannaquin look. I think it is less of a challenge & achievement for the artist.
Just FYI, you absolutely can think your water-mixable paints down with water to apply a wash or sketch something out. This is the second video in a row that tells me I can't do that thing I do and I'm not sure why. FWIW, your painting is better than mine on most metrics IMO.
Great video.! How do you clean up the lead and keep lead soaked rags and paper towels, etc., out of the trash, which would go into landfills? I’d be interesting in trying lead, but I want to do it responsibly. Maybe you could make a video on responsible cleanup? Thanks again!
Beautiful painting! Did you model get to see the results? I bet she was pleased. I just bought a set of W&N Mixable oils at Michael because I had a 50% off coupon and I'm watching videos to learn about them. I've never painted with oils before because I can't deal with solvents and am excited to try these. Thank you for this.
Dude. Thought i started listening to bob to help me fall asleep. Got him from my kids, they have his t shirt. 🙂 But i think hes going to help me figure out everything!

Benzerliği yakalayan sanatçılar için Carl bloch ve kramskoy'a göz at
agree, she doesnt resemble the model
